"The tenor Carlos Fidalgo sang well he stands out especially in the famous romance of the second act "Maruxa del alma", which is the brightest moment of his role. Voice of lyrical timbre, with very firm and safe highnotes and with an especially beautiful middle voice. He moved very well on stage and fulfilled."

"Antonio, the tenor rol is well served by the interpretations of the very young Carlos Fidalgo (but his youth did not prevent him from playing a role so beautiful and so difficult as that of Lenski)."

"The Spanish tenor Carlos Fidalgo, trained in Switzerland and Great Britain, sang the Radames. The bright timbre of his voice fitted well to the energetic appearance of the egyptian army Captain; The lyrical passages were also nicely done".

"Carlos Fidalgo as her beloved Cavaradossi exhibited huge power, almost too much at the start for this 448-seat auditorium, but this is surely a tenor on his way to the top"

Operamagazine, July 2017, Tosca, Nevill Holt Opera.

"The Spanish tenor Carlos Fidalgo was new to me, but clearly a find. What an exciting voice, open toned, yet dark in timbre and certainly capable of nuance. In both of Cavaradossi's arias and in 'O dolci mani', he flaunted a clean line with shapely portamentos and rose to stentorian cries of 'Vittoria, Vittoria' in act 2".
